CrabGames is a new game medium entirely written by students at IT-University of Copenhagen. It´s part of the exam for the course 'Game Journalism and Marketing'.
The aim of the course is to explain the mechanics of Marketing and Game Journalism in the Game Industry, and in this regard I would like to have the student "work" as journalists on a online-based games medium during the semester.
This means that the studens will be tasked to write bi/tri-weekly assignments in the different genres of game journalism like news, reviews and interviews. All the work of the students will be put up on the website - just like a real online game magazine.
Futhermore they will be tasked to write a press release and/or a commercial for a game, which will function as "fake advertising" on the website.
The goal is to get the students to feel like they are working as a "real" journalist on a "real" game medium, and also get feedback from the outside world on their work.
